Job Point is pleased to announce their partnership with the Patterson Family Foundation to extend services to residents in western Missouri! Scholarships are now available for prospective students residing in Saline and Pettis Counties and the surrounding areas, with some funds available to help cover transportation and hotel expenses related to enrolling and attending classes at Job Point’s main campus in Columbia, MO.
“We have a history of serving more of these rural counties over the last 60 years, so it is exciting to be able to provide this kind of opportunity for residents in these communities again,” John Scalise, President and CEO, said.
The Patterson Family Foundation focuses on supporting initiatives that empower residents of rural counties in Missouri and Kansas by increasing opportunities for economic opportunity, education, healthcare and community engagement.
Job Point is pleased to offer greater economic opportunity through vocational training and workforce development to residents in Saline and Pettis Counties, including Sedalia, MO and Marshall, MO; who may not have considered enrolling in training due to the cost of enrollment, commuting and accommodation.
“When people invest in themselves through pursuing vocational training, they are also investing in the long-term stability of the communities where they work and serve,” Scalise said. “We look forward to supporting folks in the Saline and Pettis County areas as they pursue their dreams and prepare for a brighter future.
