The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for development of all organization budgets, including those for grants and contracts and the preparation of cost-effective fee structures. S/he is responsible for timely monthly financial reports and cash flow management. S/he is responsible for processing all non-electronic incoming monies and depositing them appropriately. S/he advises managers, Vice-President, President, and the Board of Directors of organization financial status and assists the President in ensuring the organization operates under sound financial practices. S/he continually monitors and advises the President of organizational financial shortcomings and risks, and assists in the development of short and long-term strategies which address and resolve these. S/he supervises finance staff and coordinates outsourcing and reporting of financial operations as appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Advanced degree or certification preferred. Must have a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience and excellent working knowledge of accounting systems. Related work experience may be substituted for educational qualifications.
